The Canon Pixma MG5320 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-in-One ($149.99 direct) provides a decent feature set for multifunction printer (MFP) for a modest price. It provides good photo quality, lets you print from (or scan to) a variety of sources, and offers enough paper capacity that it can do double duty in home and home office.
The MG5320 can print, copy, and scan. It can scan as an attachment to an email; to a PC; to a USB thumb drive, or to a memory card. It uses 5 ink tanks, including a pigment black. One of the MG5320's strengths is that it can print directly from a variety of media sources, using its tilt-up 3.0-inch LCD screen to preview images. It has a port for a USB thumb drive or PictBridge-enabled camera, and its card reader supports several formats in the SD and Memory Stick families.
The MG5320 is a handsome machine, glossy black with rounded corners, measuring 8.9 by 21.4 by 18.9 inches (HWD) and weighs 18.3 pounds. It has both a 150-sheet main paper tray and a 150-sheet multipurpose tray for a 300-sheet total paper capacity, and a built-in automatic duplexer. The MG5320 offers both USB and WiFi connectivity; I tested it over a USB connection with a PC running Windows Vista.
